• Notes

  Von William Curry, known by the name "Von", was a CPA and made a career in the U.S. Postal Service.  He eventually became Postmaster of the Redmond, Washington post office, from where he retired in the early 1970's.  He and Marian then traveled extensively in a motor home and to overseas places. Von was in the U.S. Army, in which he served four years including in North Africa as a paymaster.  He was discharged as a sergeant first class. Von was a hard worker and while working for many years in the Postal Service he also maintained acreage and livestock.  He raised hay, had large gardens, raised huge quantities of chickens in large, long buildings, and usually had cattle and horses.
