• Notes

  Marie (Mary) Hammon was likely born and raised on the Island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands. On 4/11/1789 she married Jean Quetteville (John Codville)  in the Town Church at St. Peter Port, Guernsey. They had three sons. Around 1815,  Jean , Marie, and their three sons immigrated to Quebec City, QB. In Quebec, John  established a grocery business with his sons. Mary died 11/18/1845. She is buried at Mount Hermon Cemetery in Quebec City, QB (her body was moved from the Wesleyan burial grounds in 1865).
