Notes |
- SEE notes under John William Gillis about 1943 conversation between Thomas and Catherine (Katie) Gillis (Brown), which referred to Hannah as an older sister of Eunice; notes received from Mrs. Shirley Aabjerg in April 2001. In short, John Mooney wanted to marry Eunice, but Eunice and Hannah's father would not allow the marriage until he "secured a husband" for Hannah. So, John went to Canada, and got his Uncle Tom Robinson to return with him; and Tom married Hannah and John got his Eunice. John and Eunice returned to Canada and established the Mooney homestead.
